International Information Security Guidance

Information Security is important for all of us - not just the super technical people.  It's really not that difficult but all too often, people just don't know what steps to take to ensure proper security of their data.

The National Cyber Security Centre out of the UK recently released a guide for small businesses that provides an excellent overview of 5 topics to keep in mind for Information Security.  Each topic includes some specific actions anyone can take to help keep their data and systems secure.  This single sheet of information provides a ton of useful steps that we recommend for everyone.

This isn't guidance isn't just for small businesses - this works great for individuals as well!  If you use a computer (and let's face it, you wouldn't be reading this if you didn't), you should read - or at least skim - this sheet.  You may not need to do everything listed here but even if you're only doing some of these things, it's sure to save you from problems in the future.
